Anne Nyambura Njehu is a highly experienced Protection Specialist with over a decade of expertise in Child Protection, Safeguarding, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), and Gender Equity. She has worked extensively in policy development, capacity building, and mainstreaming protection across various programs. Anne has successfully led safeguarding initiatives for organizations such as USAID, Sky Girls Kenya/Nigeria, Nyumbani Children’s Home, and Avunja Mobile.
Her work spans policy formulation, risk assessments, safeguarding audits, and training teams across Africa, including engagements with USAID Zambia, Muslim Aid (England), and CORE (Poland). She is a dedicated advocate for sustainable development, ensuring the integration of protection frameworks into social service programs.
Anne holds a Master’s in Sociology (Criminology & Social Order) from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor’s in Sociology & Political Science from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa. She is a member of key professional bodies, including the Kenya Medical Social Workers Association and the National Child Protection Team.
Passionate about community impact, she also leads volunteer efforts through Ruach West Ministries, supporting over 1,200 households with food and psychosocial support.
